Where'd the Farmer Gal Go?
Most of you know me from my blog, Farmer In The Gal. So what happened to that blog?
Well, I happened to it! You see, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to technology. In this case, I managed to delete my blog and all of it's contents....a couple years worth...and they can't be restored. In one click of a button, I erased every thoughtful post, every photo, and every resource I had collected over the past five years of blogging. Now if I'd had 10K followers, this might be tragic. Actually, who am I kidding, if I'd had 100 followers it would be tragic, but I didn't and it isn't. In the words of the Apostle Paul, "Let's Forget what is behind and strain toward what is ahead!" (my paraphrase).
Welcome to what is ahead!
My new domain is www.teresamessick.com and I'm currently calling my blog, EAT-PRAY-DO. Why the change, aside from the obvious deletion snafu? It occurred to me a few months after I purchased the Farmer In The Gal domain, that I had inadvertently pigeonholed myself into a one-note platform. Who I am, and what I love to blog about, is more than just farm stuff. In fact, the past two growing seasons has proven me a pretty lousy farmer and since I cannot see a real farm in my near future (still kickin' it in the neighborhood), I wanted to give myself a little online space....to be able to share more than just my dirt-lovin'-feeble-attempts at growing food. This blog is about my three favorite things to talk about....eating well, connecting with my LORD God, and doing the things that nourish my soul.
So grab a cup of coffee, or sweet-tea if you prefer, and follow me on this journey. It's never good to travel alone!
